Deep Dish Dungeon Demo vs Full Game: Tool Limits

A June 13 developer reply says the demo then lacked Clay, the pickaxe and Axe. It does not describe the October full game's tool availability.

The dated developer answer

In a Steam discussion on June 13, a developer answered that Clay, the pickaxe and Axe were not in the demo being discussed and would be in the full game. Preserve that date when applying the answer: it describes a particular demo-era state.

The full game released on October 13. Subsequent player discussions describe using an Axe on roots and reaching the Corn Gem. An answer written for the earlier demo can therefore be correct in context and still send a full-game player in the wrong direction.

Before following a walkthrough

  1. Check whether you launched the demo or the purchased full game.
  2. Read the guide's date and named build when available.
  3. Compare the named tools and room interactions with your current save.

If an old post says roots cannot be cleared, compare it with the full-game roots evidence. If it says Clay does not exist, use the version-labelled Clay lead.

Limits of the comparison

We have not checked every demo revision or measured its current length. This page does not claim that the June limitations describe every demo downloadable today, nor does it invent a save-transfer policy between demo and release.
