Inventory and dropped items
The official October 15 announcement for version 1.0.47.0 lists these fixes:
- Backpacks and deathpacks dropped into water wash ashore.
- Adding items to partial stacks no longer loses items.
- Backpack contents no longer swap or duplicate through the documented bug.
- Deconstructed items no longer fall through the floor.
See backpacks and inventory for the practical distinction between those fixes and the developer's intended carrying limits.
Lobbies, controllers and display
The same update fixes a removed lobby password continuing to apply. It also addresses controller rotation prompts, translated messages, native fullscreen on Steam Deck and controller detection on the Xbox PC version.
If one of those descriptions matches your problem, check the installed version before trying a workaround from an older thread. The patch note does not establish a fix for unrelated connection or performance issues.
Version scope
This is a task-focused summary of one official patch, not a complete change history. We have not inferred recipe balance changes or map changes where the announcement lists none. Check the linked Steam news feed for later updates; “checked October 20” is a research timestamp, not a promise that this will always be the newest build.
