Deep Dish Dungeon Camp Planning: One Task, One Material List
Choose the construction task first, subtract materials already at camp, then plan the return route. The crafting tool totals direct recipe ingredients rather than simulating all crafting chains.

Decide what the trip is meant to finish
The developer's inventory blog describes limited carrying space as intentional and backpacks mainly as a way to move belongings between camps. A useful planning question is therefore “what will this trip finish?” rather than “what can I pick up?”
Our suggested routine combines the existing material tool with a return-route note:
- Choose the constructions you want and enter their quantities in the crafting planner.
- Enter the stock actually available at camp, not supplies you remember seeing elsewhere.
- Read the remaining gathering requirements and pick one achievable task.
- Note the landmark that gets you back to this camp before searching another branch.
- On return, update the stock before adding another construction to the plan.
What the calculator cannot decide
The six direct recipe costs come from the secondary recipe analysis already labelled on the tool. It does not infer station unlocks, available bag slots, travel time or an unverified Coal ratio. A total for Iron Rods is a rod requirement, not a promise that a specific amount of raw ore will produce it.
Keep quantities and route decisions separate. If the obstacle is knowing how to obtain an ingredient, use that ingredient's guide rather than treating an accurate shopping list as a walkthrough.
We have not verified an optimal camp location or a universally shortest expedition. This page provides a repeatable planning workflow; the in-game recipe and your current inventory remain the final check.
