Silver Pines Motel Gate Code: Why It's Random
There is no single motel gate code. It is randomised in each save. Open the Motel Guest Ledger and read the number on Eddie's row: that is your gate code.

Why a code from the internet does not work
Both guides we checked say the same thing: the Crimson Bear Motel gate is the only lock in Silver Pines with a random code. If you typed a number from a video and the gate stayed shut, that is why. Your code is in the Motel Guest Ledger, on the line for Eddie.

To get the weapon locker code, call 58883 from a payphone. That is Room 3. Making the call also unlocks the Steam achievement Call me... (Call Room 3 at the Crimson Bear). Around 70% of players have it.
What else is in the motel
- The Snub .38 Revolver hangs in a holster in the Grizzly Suite.
- One half of the Repaired Polaroid memento is in the Grizzly Suite guitar case. The other half is behind the Rabbit Hole bar mirror. See all mementos.
- One of the nine inventory pouches is at the motel.
