The bells are lettered, and they are spread across the town:

After the ride
Taking the "Ride to the Stars" earns Ascension. About 25% of Steam players have it. At the top, the station code 0441 is painted above the urinal in the bathroom. Once you have every bell, the Shovel shows up in the digging man's caravan.
